Good luck! I pulled mine out, too. My Sony is at 1. And yes, I know this thread is old, but…. Always enjoyed my PRS but sold it many years ago. Recently found one on Ebay in perfect condition. Battery is weak so a new one is on the way When I switch to my Kindle Oasis its instantly apparent how much better the tech has evolved, but my Sony is still nicer to hold.
Too bad Sony got out of the game. Originally Posted by slkissinger. Last edited by rcentros; at PM. Originally Posted by Philipt. All times are GMT The time now is PM.
Mark Forums Read. The allows you to listen to audio books and music. Both models have the ability to take notes, via the stylus or with the virtual Keyboard. Both models also have the exact same page turning speed and high degree of contrast. When you are reading an ebook, you can hit the Magnifying Glass option and have the ability to zoom into any display.
This is perfect if you wear glasses, or want to read on a larger font setting. You also have the ability to bookmark pages and switch back to them on the fly. As well, you can make annotations to highlight passages on screen. It does come bundled with 12 different dictionaries, and 12 translation dictionaries.
You can see from our pictures that we reviewed the Silver model, but it does come in Black. The device is very light, and only weighs grams. This is one great e-reader! The page turns are super quick, and when we compared the Sony to the Nook we found the page turns more responsive, as well as the Kobo, and Sharper Image Literati. Being a pure touch screen device means it weighs less and is more portable then its competition.

You should see a rotating circle to confirm a transfer request in progress. I have a vague memory that Kobo are planning to support other readers with their desktop app. Am I dreaming or did someone from Kobo really say this?

It sounds like from your posts that you are using the Sony Reader Library software to manage your ebook library. The process for using Kobo books is similar to the process for using Borders books. Go to the Kobo website and sign in to your account. It should bring you to your Library page.
If you are already signed in, then you can click the link "Library" to the right of the search box at the top of the page. In your Library, you will see a list of the books that you have purchased. Click on that box.
On a PC, it might prompt you to download the file or open it. That action will launch the Sony software and import the book into your Sony library just like with the purchased Borders books. It is rare but does happen. I learned this tip the hard way!
