Downloads the file to your mobile device. This file will appear in the Downloads folder. Qfile downloads the file. A list of options appear. Streaming to. Tap Streaming to. A list of suitable players appear. Tap a player.
Tap Rename. Enter a new file or folder name. Tap Copy. The Select folder window opens. Tap a folder on the breadcrumb navigation or select a folder from the list. Select a folder. Tap Move. Tap Encrypt. Enter a password. Select a Duplicate File Name Policy. Disable Encrypt and replace original file. Tap Compress. Select one of the following.
Compression level. Archive format. Update mode. Enter an archive name and password. Add to transcode. This option is only for videos. Tap Add to transcode. Select at least one format. Qfile performs the specified action. You can create a new folder or manage existing folders from Qfile. You cannot share parent folders. Allow file upload to this folder. You can only create a folder inside an existing folder. The New folder window opens. Qfile creates the new folder on the NAS. You cannot download parent folders.
Qfile downloads the folder to your mobile device. The folder and its contents appear in the Downloads folder. Enter a folder name. Add to Favorites. Tap Add to Favorites. Qfile adds the folder to the Favorites section of File Station. Auto Upload allows you to automatically upload items from a folder or upload multimedia from the photo gallery on your mobile device to your NAS. Three options appear. All photos and videos. Only camera roll. To select a different folder, tap Manual setup.
To change your destination folder on the Auto Upload screen, tap Destination. The Upload Rules window opens. Create subfolders based on the source folder structure. Qfile creates subfolders within the source folder. Single folder. Qfile creates a folder for your items. Scan and upload. Upload files added from. Use cellular data. When you enable this option, you can also enable Use cellular data to upload videos.
Background uploading. Upload when charging only. Qfile uploads the items to the NAS. This task only applies to Android devices. Your mobile's internal storage folder list appears.
The Qfile download folder is a folder in the local storage where you can access files without an internet connection. The default download folder is the local Qfile folder.
To see your current downloads, tap Downloads. Qfile sets the specified folder as the new download folder. To manage background tasks for other actions, tap one of the tabs above: Upload , Download , Auto upload , File Operations. Two options appear. Qfile deletes or opens information about the link. For details on changing the download folder, see Setting a New Download Folder. For details on configuring auto upload settings, see Auto Upload.

Re: remote file access options with QNAP Quote Post by eurochez » Mon Apr 06, am Yes I think SSH there are open source clients for Mac probably looks like the solution however there are problems with this: I am no coder and am not familiar with telneting into NAS boxes but I am very protective of my data so I would need to: 1 change the default SSH port to lessen repeated brute-force password attacks 2 disable SSH access with passwords and implement key exchange only 3 prevent root access with SSH Not sure I have the expertise to do the above.

I simply merge or copy catalogs as required. No need to play with the settings, the NAS connects to a servers, then you just set up the account able to access the nas remotely and done, in 10 minutes you can access your files from any loaction in the world from you file explorer Please QNAP, do it!
