In reply to zachd's post on December 5, I refreshed the pc two days after installing Win 10 because some MS apps wouldn't open. I don't have that option now because my screen is a blue blank after I login. I finally managed to get a partial taskbar, about half of what's usually there, but the file folder icon let me open to the hard drive with current folders.
There is no Windows Update folder, no Start folder, etc. I have no Start option! I have no Settings option. Currently using my old Win 7 laptop to get online. I believe this problem occurred because the pc updated at some point yesterday. The hours involved in trying to resolve these problems aren't worth it. I'm pretty much done with MS products.
